Morningsiders- Empress

This band is going places. They’re sound isn’t completely unique, but they do a good job of combining the odd meters into really accessible folk pop tunes. Not only that, but there’s some serious musicianship in this band. Listen to how the fiddle player and piano lock right in during the odd time signatures. This is a really catchy but still engaging song, and I can’t wait to hear what they have to play for us next.

Today i had a realization. My home town is awesome. I was out of eggs so i headed over to the local farmstand (how awesome). The lady at the counter knew EVERYONE coming in and had conversations with all of them (How awesome). Then she remembered me from when i was a little kid and used to always come in and buy honey sticks (How Freakin’ awesome). Then, I went out side and there was a bluegrass band setting up to play on the deck (SO INCREDIBLY AWESOME). I’ve never love this orchard town so much.
